Olango Island Marine Sanctuary
It was Sunday when we decided to go to Olango Island and our goal was just to explore and cool ourselves down. It was an exciting trip because it was unplanned and we were on a tight budget. We just hope that our 500 pesos on the wallet was enough.
What to visit
You can visit the Marine Sanctuary and the Bird Sanctuary located at San Vicente. For us, we just visit the Marine Sanctuary. There are also beach resorts in San Vicente.
At the end of the boardwalk, you can see floating cottages, you can use it for free, as well as, the life jackets.
Here is a sample of our expense and itinerary.
Getting There
If you are from Linao, Talisay city, like us, you should take a jeepney from Linao to Basak then Basak to T.padilla. Take another jeepney to Hi-way Mandaue and from Hi-way take another jeepney to Maribago (Mactan Newtown).
If you are from Cebu city, you can take a jeepney from Colon to Parkmall and Parkmall to Maribago (Mactan Newtown).
