San Remigio is known to have the longest shoreline in Cebu province, which is highlighted in their annual festival, the "Lapyahan festival". Lapyahan is a cebuano word for shoreline. The festival is celebrated every 16th of May and in honor of their patron saint San Juan Nepumoceno. The dance steps in the festival show things related to the sea: balud which means waves, kinhas which means gleaning for seashells during low tide, langoy which is swimming, hoyohoy which refers to sea breeze, and pasalamat which is to give thanksgiving to heavens for the bounty of the sea. Casa Blanca By the Sea

Olango Island had been my quick escape from the stresses that the city life had given me. It is like a breather for me. Today I will introduce one of the resorts we stayed for our day trip, the Casa Blanca by the Sea. We actually thought that it's an exclusive resort because of its palace-like structure, like a Mediterranean-inspired townhouse. So, on my second visit to the island I went inside and ask if it's for public use and the caretaker said yes. I got excited because I really love the place and what's more the caretaker told me that the day use was only 200 Php. I immediately asked my friends to visit the island and to stay at Casa Blanca by the Sea. When we arrived at the resort it was like an exclusive resort for us, only few people were in the resort on that day and by exclusive I mean, we own the pool. Hahaha. Siquijor (Day 1) Yey! It's already 2016. New year which means new travels, discoveries and adventures for me! And for my first stop ~ The Mystical Island ~ SIQUIJOR! Whenever people hear the name of this place they always think about magic and by magic they mean black magic. This is the main reason why my grandparents and parents were so against about this travel. I really tried my best to convince and assure them that nothing will ever happen to me.
