Mt. Manunggal + West35 + Adventure Café
Oh it's Feb-ibig month again and the best way to celebrate this love month is to travel with your friends! Our travel itinerary is to explore Balamban, Cebu. This is a three-in-one escapade. Three different adventures in one municipality.
We started our day with a warm-up exercise, yep you read it right, just a warm-up and that is trekking to Mt. Manunggal, it took us 2 hours to reach the crash site and monument of our former president Ramon Magsaysay. Just prepare yourself for the long, muddy and uphill trail. I advise that you bring water and finger foods or energy boosting foods.

Guys! This is it! If you see these pine trees. Congratulations! |
|
There are two ways to reach Ramon Magsaysay's monument, one is uphill and we choose the easy one. |
|
If you choose the easy way, you can see the crash site, first. |
|
We're here! |
We just took a short break, since we have two more plans for the day. As we headed down back to the highway, my friend kept us alive
(alive talaga ha) by his hugot lines. So, guys if you are planning to climb Mt. Manunggal prepare your hugot lines. Hahaha As an icebreaker because it's really energy draining and to top it all, we didn't have lunch yet.
Going back to the highway is like love.
Yung moment na umaasa ka na malapit na tapos hindi pa pala! God! I've thought that we were in a horror movie wherein the road is endless. We almost give up but we shouldn't give up because we still need to go to West35 and have our lunch.
We are so fortunate that when we reached the Hi-way, after a few minutes a pick-up car gave us a ride to West35. I couldn't thank enough to the owner of that car.

Kahit pagod na, All smiles pa rin! |

Though we're hungry we still choose to take photos! hahaha |

Their menu prices are not that affordable but I could say it's worth it. |
We stayed longer that we planned because it rained so hard. We still have one more place to visit. And this time, luck was not on our side. We tried to hitch for another ride but no one gave us a ride. So, we need to walk for 2 km. going to Adventure
Café. It seems not that far, right?
After 30 minutes, finally we are on our last stop ~ Adventure
Café. I've been wanting to go to this café because they have this shout corner, wherein you can throw plates and hit their shout wall. Perfect for people who want to vent out their stress, anger or disappointment.
We had so much fun that we forgot the time. It's almost 5:30 and it would be hard for us to ride a V-hire back to the city. Indeed, we have waited for 2 hours and all the V-hires were packed. We've tried to hitched, thinking that maybe this time luck is on our side. We were wrong. We're doomed! It's getting dark and the it's getting colder. We need someone to rescue us. We are stranded. Getting a signal in this place is too hard. We are now desperate, we didn't have a choice, we need to call someone. Though, my bestfriend was being scolded by her mother because it's our fault, why we didn't leave the place early. We are just so thankful that her father decided to pick us up. Thank you so much Tito! In total we've waited in the café for 4 hours.
Piece of advice: If you are planning to go through the same adventures that we had, it's better that you have a car or one of your friends have a car. To make sure that you have a ride back home.
