Time Travel to Museo Sugbo
In my 25 years of existence and for many years that I've traveled some parts of Cebu this is one tourist spot that I haven't been too yet I've always passed this place.
Museo Sugbo was once called Cárcel de Cebú, the provincial jail of Cebu. It was the main prison for the Visayas district. Designed by the lone architect in Cebu at the time, Domingo de Escondrillas on 1869.
There are eight galleries you can see inside Museo Sugbo. All exhibition galleries are fully air-conditioned. It provides visitors a treasure trove of important objects and artifacts that make Cebu truly the premier province of the country. It also showcase the lives of Sen. Vicente Rama, father of the Cebu city charter, as well as, Gregorio Abellana, a Katipunero and playwright of patriotic zarzuelas and Jovito Abellana, historical essayist and writer.
There is a media gallery in honor of Cebu's pioneer media practitioners, a gallery for political history, a gallery with collections of rare Spanish-era architectural blueprints, maps and charts, on loan from the National Archives.
Out of eight galleries the vintage bicycles caught my attention.
