Weekend Treat: Guimaras

Finally after 5 loooooonnngggg months! I'm gonna post this. I know this is a long overdue post *sigh* and I hope you understand *smile*.

This was supposed to be a BIG travel ~ BIG stands for Bacolod > Ilo Ilo > Guimaras Escapade however, due to some circumstances we only managed to visit tourist spots in Guimaras. Though, technically we've been to the three islands *winks*.

ILO-ILO

Ilo-Ilo was our first stop, since my dear friend here, Gea needed to get a passport and she only got a slot in Ilo-Ilo. It was quiet a very long trip, it took us 14 hours to reach Ilo-Ilo.

There are a lot of things to explore in Ilo-Ilo we just don't have enough time to explore it, plus the weather is not cooperating with us. It rained the whole day *sigh*. I wish I could visit Ilo-Ilo again because it really captured my heart. It was so peaceful even at night, we actually just walk from SM to our Guest Homey, our accommodation. Guest Homey is affordable for backpackers, it's clean and it's close to the airport, restos and malls.

Just look at that! I hope the sidewalks in Cebu are like this. I could not really explain why I fell in love with Ilo-Ilo despite not seeing their tourist spots. I just feel comfortable and safe here. Plus the prices are cheaper than in Cebu.

The main reason why we are here!

Gea and I decided to just chill in the mall, as if we don't have malls in Cebu. We got no other place to go to. It's goddamn raining cats and dogs *crying out of frustration*.

The only thing we can do! Hahaha

GUIMARAS

The real adventure begins!! Guimaras Island is just a few minutes away from Ilo-Ilo and widely famous for its sweet mangoes. I opt to travel Guimaras because I it looks secluded and not a lot of people would visit here.

Guimaras is more than just sweet mangoes, it has a very rich history and captivating white sand beaches.

Double Trouble! Hahahaha

The famous Mango plantation!

There are so much more to explore! We just got no enough time *cries*.

How can you say no to this delicious and popular Mango Pizza!? It doesn't sound so well, right? But it tasted so gooood!! If I can, I would definitely eat this everyday! *yum yum*

MANGO PIZZA!!!

I could not remember the name of this place!
But the scenery is unforgettable *winks*

Just me being pabebe hahahahahah

My face when my crush says 'Hi!' hahahahaha
Last stop of our Guimaras Trip! *sigh*

BACOLOD

Last stop! It was just a very quick stop over. We were supposed to stay for a night in Bacolod because I thought that Gea needed to be home by Sunday, I read the message in a different way.

From Guimaras, we rode a boat going to Pulupandan then to Bacolod, then from Bacolod to Cebu. I could not comment as much as I can about Bacolod because we just stayed in a mall for a few hours before heading back home. I wish I could explore this place next time.

This trip is not that well-planned of but I still had a great time plus we were able to do the major reason why we had this trip and that's getting a ~ passport!

Lesson learned: Plan your trip well! *winks*
